Suitcases: a stolen travelogue was created as part of the Travelogue exhibition series, organized by Ichiro Irie, who mandated that each artist restrict their art to a suitcase. Suitcases expands upon the theme of travelogue by incorporating the photographs that people take when traveling. Small suitcases comprised of these photographs, collected from friends and strangers, represent another's travels and display someone else's memories. The miniature suitcases fit within a larger suitcase, on which a monitor sits, displaying an animation of raining suitcases. The artist frequently travels with these small-scale suitcases and leaves them behind in faraway places.
